Afua is a specialist and a forerunner in the realm of micro-insurance in Africa. She set up the first indigenous microfinance company in Ghana. She has delivered papers at international fora, organised to educate member-countries on the emerging industry of micro-insurance.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cape Coast, Afua pursued and obtained a Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science at Heriot Watt University of Scotland. She also studied at the Malta Institute for Insurance and has an Advance Diploma in Applied Insurance. Her strong contribution has come in the area of designing products for clients within the micro enterprise sub-sector. She is one of the best brains the management of large and multiple clientele due to her deep knowledge and experience in micro-insurance.
